Festival Grounds & Camping

Santa Fe TradFest is held at Camp Stoney at Bishop's Ridge on the historic Santa Fe Trail. The festival grounds include camping for tents and small RVs, food trucks, indoor and outdoor workshop spaces, and of course, the main stage under the big tent!

Parking Information

There is limited parking on the festival grounds. Please carpool if possible. Overflow parking is located 1/2 mile away from the festival entrance. If the main lot is full, volunteers will direct you to the overflow lot. 

Regular shuttle service is available from both the main parking lot and the overflow lot. Camping is not allowed in either parking lot.

 General Festival Information

  • First Aid Kits and Lost & Found are at Instrument Check.

  • Merchandise Tent closes at 9pm.

  • Food trucks are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • Bathrooms with flush toilets are available for festival attendees.

  • Camping of any kind is not allowed in neither the main parking lot nor the overflow lot, including in vans, RVs, or truck campers. Camping is allowed in designated areas only. 
     

  • Camping is free with paid admission. Festival grounds open for camping on Thursday, August 22 at 4pm. There are no reservations for camping, and all sites are available first come, first serve. Camping closes on Sunday at 6pm.

  • Tent camping, is available first come, first serve in a variety of designated wooded and open areas. A large event field is also available for tent camping. In order to protect underground irrigation, no tent stakes are allowed in the soccer field and there is no vehicle access.

  • Limited Small RV camping is available. There are NO RV hookups. Only small RVs or camper trailers can be accommodated. Fifth wheels and larger motor homes can be accommodated at local RV parks.

  • Bunk beds are available in A-frame buildings; all are close to bathhouses. $10/night per bunk. Bring your own sleeping bag.  Contact us for reservations.

  • Bathroom facilities – there are two bathhouses (men’s & women’s) with four shower stalls, four toilet stalls and four sinks in each. Porta-potties are also available on the campus.

Camp Stoney Restrictions

Camp Stoney is a uniquely beautiful environment for a music festival, and we all work together to preserve and protect it, while making the festival an enjoyable experience.

  • NO FIRES, including wood and charcoal. Fire safety is paramount in this forested area. Propane stoves, fireplaces, grills and lanterns are allowed.

  • No smoking.

  • Sorry, NO PETS, other than certified service dogs.

  • For safety reasons, please park only in designated parking areas and camp only in designated camping areas. 

  • Alcohol is prohibited by Camp Stoney and no alcoholic beverages will be sold.

  • Put away food at night; bears and other wildlife may be in the area.

  • Please, do not run generators from 10pm - 7am.

Driving Directions: From Albuquerque / Santa Fe

  • Take I-25 North toward Santa Fe, approx. 70.5 miles from Albuquerque International Sunport.

  • Take exit 284 onto NM-466 / Old Pecos Trail.

  • 0.4 miles from off-ramp, turn left onto Old Pecos Trail.

  • Go 0.3 miles, turn right onto Old Las Vegas Highway.

  • Go 1.1 miles, turn left onto El Gancho Way.

  • Go 0.3 miles; at the end of the road, turn right onto Old Santa Fe Trail.  Follow the Camp Stoney signs and keep right at the mailboxes.

  • Go 5.3 miles. The facility will be on you left.  Look for the big Bishop’s Ridge sign at the driveway entrance.

  • Take I-25 South toward Santa Fe.

  • Take exit 284 onto NM-466 / Old Pecos Trail.
